Board Minutes for May 27th, 2010
The meeting was held at U.S. Bank Conference Room.
President John Croswell called the meeting to order. All were present except Stan Edwards, Gordon Herbst and John Rush.
The minutes were read by Sally Peterson and approved. Treasurer Dean Otto gave the treasurers report and it was approved.
OLD BUSINESS
We discussed the improvement of roads on the East side of the cemetery. Dean would like to see the brush cut and mowed on the north side of Road A. John Croswell will work on that. John Croswell is still working on an information board.
Sally Peterson is still waiting to get the records on her computer. Dean will get that taken care of. Sally also said she would not continue being the secretary when elections are held in the fall.
NEW BUSINESS
John Peterson needs to find a storage place for his tractor that he uses for cemetery work. There were a few suggestions such as adding on to the white building on the west side, asking Florian Seppmann or Larry Paulson if they have room to store it. We will check with Jeff Buck who lives close by. John Peterson will check into this and report back.
John and Kathy Croswell planted the urns again. They look very nice. Thanks to the Croswells.
We need to get more people involved in marking graves and digging cremation graves. John Peterson is the only person who knows how to mark and when he is gone we need someone to learn how to do this. A motion was made, seconded and carried to have John Croswell check with Dale VanThuyne to see if he would be interested in getting involved with marking, digging cremation graves and doing plowing and maybe even selling graves.
A motion was made, seconded and carried to have Sally Peterson talk to Barbara Jackowell to see if she would be interested in being secretary and invite her to the next meeting.
John Peterson talked about having a small lawn mower to do some trim work in the cemetery. Dean Otto told him to check on prices for a used mower.
A motion was made, seconded and carried to adjourn.
Respectfully submitted by Sally Peterson, Secretary
