Minneopa Scattering Garden

Starting in 2025, the Minneopa Scattering Garden has served as a beautiful, tranquil space for families to return the cremated ashes of loved ones to the earth.

At Minneopa Cemetery, the Scattering Garden monument may be inscribed recognizing the scattering for $750. The inscription would include the full name, birth year and death year. Scattering only may be done for $250.

Over the past century, cremation has grown in acceptance until it is now the most popular method of funeral rites in the United States. The impact on the environment is generally more favorable versus a traditional burial.

A scattering garden is economical, allowing a final disposition with no burial costs or space to reserve, the savings (no embalming, no excavation, etc.) are substantial.
